Using SumGoal
Terms of use
Developer note: these terms currently cover the free, account-free service. Review and extend them before enabling accounts, subscriptions, prizes, competitions or other material new features.
About the service
SumGoal provides a free arithmetic target game and automated solver for personal entertainment and practice. The service may change, be suspended or be unavailable from time to time.
Permitted use
You may use the public game normally through the SumGoal website. You must not attempt to overload the service, bypass access controls, scrape it at scale, or use the private solver API as an automated third-party service without permission.
Your calculations
The solver is intended as a game aid. Although it is tested against SumGoal's game rules, automated results may contain defects. Do not rely on the service for financial, professional, academic-examination or other high-stakes calculations.
Intellectual property
The SumGoal name, visual design, source code and original site content are owned by or licensed to the operator except where stated otherwise. These terms do not transfer ownership of that material to users.
Third-party services
The website uses Cloudflare services for hosting, delivery, compute and security. Links to third-party services are provided for convenience and those providers are responsible for their own services and terms.
Google AdSense is used to provide advertising when advertising is active.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that, the free service is provided without a guarantee of continuous availability or fitness for a particular purpose, and the operator is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable from use of the free game.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
